The details

Who we are

kube10 is made by Venosa Studio (registered business name: Aktila Cengiz) in Kayseri, Türkiye. “We” and “us” on this page mean Venosa Studio.

This policy covers the kube10 desktop app, the web interface of a self-hosted kube10 server, the kube10 apps for iPhone and Android, and this website.

How kube10 works

kube10 is a client for Kubernetes clusters. It comes as a desktop app, as a web interface served by a kube10 server that you or your organization run, and as a mobile app for iOS and Android.

We do not run a backend for kube10, and there is no account system. The apps talk to your clusters and your servers directly, so we never receive your cluster data.

No analytics or tracking

The kube10 apps contain no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not collect statistics about how you use them.

What the mobile app stores

The mobile app keeps the following only on your device, in the system’s secure storage (the iOS Keychain, or storage backed by the Android Keystore):

  • the address of the kube10 server you connect to
  • the session tokens from your OpenID Connect sign-in
  • the contents of a kubeconfig you add: API server addresses, certificate authorities and credentials
  • the context you choose

Your in-app preferences are kept on the device as well. None of this leaves your phone, except to connect to the servers you have set up.

Where the apps connect

Apart from the optional push alerts and the desktop update check described below, the apps connect only to:

  • the Kubernetes API servers and kube10 servers you configure
  • your own OpenID Connect identity provider, while you sign in

Cluster data travels only between the app and those servers. It does not pass through us.

Push alerts

Push alerts are optional and stay off until you turn them on. They are available only while the mobile app is connected to a kube10 server that you or your organization run.

When you turn them on, the app sends your device’s Expo push token and its platform (iOS or Android) to that kube10 server. The server stores them with your signed-in username and groups, and deletes them if the app has not renewed them for 7 days.

Notifications are delivered through Expo’s push service, run by 650 Industries, and then through Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging. Their content is generic, such as “3 new alerts”, and contains no resource names or other cluster data.

Desktop updates

The desktop app checks for new versions in the public GitHub repository venosa-studio/kube10-releases and downloads updates from there. As with any download, GitHub sees the IP address the request comes from.

This website

kube10.com uses no cookies, analytics or advertising, and its fonts are served from kube10.com itself.

If you pick a theme, the choice is saved in your browser’s local storage and is never sent anywhere.

To show the latest version, file sizes and release history, some pages ask GitHub’s API for them from your browser, and the download buttons fetch files from GitHub. GitHub sees your IP address for those requests.

kube10.com is delivered through Cloudflare. As with any website, Cloudflare and our server handle your IP address and the address of the page you request in order to deliver it.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone.

Children

kube10 is a tool for people who run Kubernetes clusters and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Deleting your data

Everything the apps keep stays on your device. To delete it, sign out or remove your connections in the app, or uninstall the app.

Data on a self-hosted kube10 server, such as push alert registrations, is controlled by whoever operates that server, not by us.

On this website, clearing the site’s data in your browser removes the saved theme.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
